WESTLAKE HIGH SCHOOL AQUATICS 100 N Lakeview Cyn Rd / Westlake Village, CA 91361 Boys Water Polo Girls Water Polo Swim Teams Check out Events Calendar to the Right Pool Locations WHS Aquatics is comprised of Boys Water Polo (Fall), Girls Water Polo (Winter) and co-ed swim teams (Spring). All teams compete on three levels: Varsity, Junior Varsity and Frosh/Soph. All High School coaches are employees of the Conejo Valley Unified School District. Westlake High School Head Coaches are: Shannon Breese-Swim, Farhad Ghaemi-Girls' Water Polo and Jason Nevis-Boys' Water Polo. Club teams and coaches practicing at Westlake High School are separate from WHS High School and the Aquatics Boosters. Westlake HS competes in the Marmonte League. The other Marmonte League teams are: Royal, Agoura, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Calabasas and Newbury Park High Schools. All home games/meets are held at the WHS pool. The pool was completed in June of 2002. It is 25 yards long by 25 meters wide and is all deep. There is also a shallow, four lane 25 yard pool. Each water polo season WHS plays approximately 26 games and one early season scrimmage. The bulk of the games are against Marmonte League opponents. League teams play each other twice. Once at home and once away. This leaves room for 2 non league games and three tournaments. Varsity games consist of four, 7 minute quaters and include a 5 minute half time. Junior Varsity quarters last 6 minutes and Freshmen games 5 minutes quarters, both with a 5 minute half. Swim meets are held against our six local Marmonte teams as well as several non-league meets, invitationals, and participation in CIF Southern Section Relays and League Finals.
